John Dehlin is an interesting character. He’s a somewhat active Mormon who founded two different organizations: stayLDS and MormonStories. StayLDS has the stated goal of helping Mormons who question their beliefs continue to be active in church and live the gospel. MormonStories attempts to help both believers and non-believers understand each other better. It wants to bridge the gap.
This video is a presentation he gave directed at believing Mormons to help them understand how they might maintain a positive relationship with their loved ones who question or leave the church.
From about 6:30 to 36:00, it does touch on some of the doctrinal and historical issues, though mostly just to explain why they are troubling to some people. I recommend skipping that part and starting at 36:00.
