Wikipedia needs no introduction. There are a large number of Wikipedia pages that contain factual information about the church that simply isn’t mentioned in church. We know that many people unfamiliar with Wikipedia’s editing process are skeptical of the information on it. Skepticism is good, but popular articles on Wikipedia undergo a very rigorous editing process, include a ton of primary sources, and are thoroughly examined by both neutral and biased parties. Each and ever word is scrutinized.
For example, the article on Joseph Smith is relatively short. It has undergone almost 12,000 revisions by over a thousand different users. Is it perfect? No, of course not. But you’re unlikely to find a more fact-based, less biased summary of Joseph Smith’s life anywhere else.
Here are the most interesting pages, in our opinion:
List of the Wives of Joseph Smith
Archeology and the Book of Mormon
Anachronisms in the Book of Mormon
Genetics and the Book of Mormon
Historicity of the Book of Mormon
Linguistics and the Book of Mormon
Black people and early Mormonism
Black people and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
